Guidelines for Grant Proposals
At grant decision meetings, each grant proposal is presented to the entire group and discussed. At the end of the discussion, the group decides which grant(s) to fund.
CRPCA’s members have collectively indicated an interest in funding the following types of grants:
- Projects from sponsors with a connection to Oregon or southwest Washington
- Projects that are education-based
- Projects that are objective-based and have measurable results
- Projects that are sustainable
- Projects that benefit women and children
- Projects that empower the recipients
- Projects that improve people’s lives
- Projects that meet a community need
The more your project addresses our members’ preferences, the more likely we will fund it. But every so often we come across some other type of project that is a really good idea, and we fund it.
Funding recommendations are made by a vote of all members present at the business meeting following the grant application deadline. Prior to the meeting, a summary of all grant applications is provided for members to review in preparation for the vote. Recipients are notified within one week of the decision and awards are posted to the CRPCA website and included in the CRPCA newsletter. If awarded funding, the recipient will be required to sign a contract with CRPCA regarding the use of the funds and submit an impact report upon completion of the project (impact report form to be provided by CRPCA). Recipients are strongly encouraged to submit photos related to the project, and to share their project experience with CRPCA members at one of our Potluck Gatherings.
How to Apply

By our application deadline, send the electronic documents to our Grants Coordinator, Joel Salter, at grants AT crpca.org.
